The Lowe-down!

Posted on April 16 2015

It's been a crazy few weeks as I haven't even had a chance to take a second to update the blog! ahhhh Blog Failure!

With that said, I will fill you in on where I have really been spending most of my time.... Lowes... it is certainly becoming my new hangout! Yes, Lowes, the home improvement store! I have learned more about toilets, moldings, electrical fittings, plywood, flooring....etc....etc....etc...! I do have to say though, toilets are probably my favorite! I feel like I am now a Semi-pro at toilets as I was given the lowe-down (haha) on all things your toilet should offer....I was pretty much under the assumption that it really just had to flush, but apparently not!

My first observation is that if you really want to accomplish anything at Lowes as a female, wear pigtails and cute rain boots! You will have every Lowes worker at your disposal within seconds. "Boots" as I was referred to was guided around the entire store picking up various "doodads" as I called them! 8 days and 10 Lowes trips later we ended up with everything I never in my life thought I would be buying let alone know anything about!

As if I hadn't spent enough time at Loews, it was becoming abundantly clear that our relationship was not coming to an end anytime soon. My best friends husband Paul came up from Texas to help build some of our larger fixtures and there we were…. off to Lowes, although this time we threw Home Depot into the mix....Kinda felt like I was cheating;) lol As Paul informed me, Home Depot is geared toward contractors and building materials and Lowes is more for the pretty finishing’s and such. Good thing to know, keep that in mind!

After this whirlwind of material shopping my in laws were nice enough to let us use their garage for Paul to assemble all of our goods! In less than a week he built the entire shell of our 13 ft cash wrap and all of our apparel wall ledges. Take a lookski…

Zelda Dog came to help one day too...with her tool belt stashed with bones she was ready to get to work;) While I would like to say this concluded my brief relationship with Lowes, it did not….
